the BEAUTY of a middle-aged TATOO

O.k., so........ever had a "I'm over 40 and found my back bone moment"?  If so, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!  Well I found mine last summer, and with the help of my two beautiful kids, a needle rearing gal named Anastasia (don't you LOVE that) and a camera toting *best friend*, it was documented!!  Woo-Hoo!  To the OVERWHELMING dismay of my husband of course.....but THAT"S part of "found my back bone moment"!  Not  that I ever make a habit of going against my husband's strong and voiced disapproval, but it's that I went against my husband's strong disapproval and still did something that had significance and meaning to ME! Now THAT"S something!  And I think secretly, he adores it, think's it's sexy , but I will NEVER hear it from his lips, ........but I know. he he
And when they say it hurts......well.....I reckin it all depends on where you are getting "Inked", yes I can officially say that with much pride and pain under my belt thank you very much!!  The pain was not unbearable, but of course my "Tat" (another word I am in the official capacity to say) is really not big enough to really put up on the pain scale!!  HA HA HA!!!
My "Tat" was derived out of my love for the cross and the love I hold for my children. Now don't go put me on too high of a pedestal because they only got the first initial of their first name forever engraved on their mom's skin!!!  Another Ha Ha Ha moment....what can I say, I'm a wimp!!!  And my BFF was there of course, encouraging me along the entire time, telling me to GO BIGGER......really......you get your happy butt up in that chair and let's see how BIG you wanna go blonde!!!  And that of course is said out of much love, she's the best and I was glad she was there, she made me laugh, which at times of sheer and dire pain and nervousness, comes in pretty handy!!!

O.k., so the story behind this pic is this.....2 YOUNG girls, maybe 17 were sitting and waiting to have their BOYFRIENDS names tattooed on the inside of THEIR LIPS!!!!!  OMG!!!!!!  So the look on my face is me saying....."OMG...... your doing WHAT"??  Stupidity at it's absolute finest!
